Environment & Climate Action
Protecting ecological balance through mass tree plantation drives, sustainable living awareness, and pollution reduction.
Understanding the Problem
Deforestation, soil erosion along riverine corridors, and climate fluctuations threaten ecological balance and agricultural productivity in Assam.
Why This Work Matters
Planting trees purifies air, prevents soil erosion, preserves biodiversity, and builds sustainable living standards for future generations.
Our Grassroots Approach
Under the leadership of President Lakhyajit Gogoi, we organize mass plantation campaigns, promote eco-friendly living, and mobilize volunteers for biodiversity conservation.
Core Activities & Interventions:
- World Environment Day tree plantation drive at Purajanghal Playground and surrounding village roads
- Community education on planting trees, reducing pollution, and protecting local flora and fauna
- Afforestation drives along roadsides, school grounds, and community public spaces
- Promotion of sustainable living practices and waste reduction initiatives
Target Outcomes & Lasting Impact
- Thousands of indigenous saplings planted with community maintenance adoption
- Enhanced ecological awareness and active responsibility among rural youth
- Creation of green roadside canopies purifying local air and stabilizing soil
