Planting native shade and fruit trees across school grounds and public roads, building community responsibility for ecological balance.
Spearheaded by youth volunteers on World Environment Day and throughout the monsoon season, this initiative mobilizes students, elders, and village councils to plant and protect native saplings. President Lakhyajit Gogoi and volunteer squads actively install protective bamboo guards and monitor sapling survival.
Deforestation and road widening have depleted native tree cover around village campuses and community playgrounds, increasing heat stress and soil degradation.
The entire Purajanghal and Morongi community benefiting from enhanced green cover.
